Sensei Karen – dojo head

Sensei Karen began training under Kyoshi Archimedes in Wellington and gained her shodan in 1997. She then continued training under Sei Shihan Ben, Sensei Karen has travelled to many dojos in New Zealand and around the world. She has qualifications in teaching and psychology, she works as an advocate for women and children who have experienced violence and teaches self defence in schools and community groups.

Seido is a style of karate open to anyone, regardless of age or ability. With an emphasis on personal and individual development. Seido focuses on the capabilities of each person, encouraging everyone to see where their abilities can take them.
